Cada vez existe mayor consenso en que el crecimiento sostenible requiere territorios capaces de generar oportunidades, atraer inversi\u00f3n, desarrollar talento y traducir el dinamismo econ\u00f3mico en bienestar para su poblaci\u00f3n. En este sentido, la cohesi\u00f3n territorial se ha convertido en un componente fundamental de las estrategias modernas de desarrollo. Desde esta perspectiva, el \u00cdndice de Competitividad Provincial de Panam\u00e1 (ICPP) busca aportar una mirada complementaria a los indicadores nacionales tradicionales. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de medir qu\u00e9 provincias son m\u00e1s competitivas, el \u00edndice procura identificar los factores que explican las diferencias territoriales y comprender por qu\u00e9 algunos territorios logran transformar sus capacidades en mejores resultados econ\u00f3micos y sociales, mientras otros enfrentan dificultades persistentes para hacerlo.
